A master’s thesis at the College of Islamic Sciences discusses “grammatical morphemes in the book Introduction to Grammar with an Explanation of Tasheel Al-Fawaid by the Army Superintendent”

On Sunday, August 11, 2024, the College of Islamic Sciences at the University of Fallujah discussed the master’s thesis in the Department of Arabic Language entitled “Grammatic syllables in the book Introduction to Grammar with an Explanation of Tashil al-Fawaid by the Nazir of the Army (d. 778 AH).”

The thesis submitted by the student Muhammad Khalil Ibrahim Hamad under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Ali Hussein, to demonstrate one of the methods of response and protest, which is the “Fanqla” method, which is an abbreviated carved word from: “If it is said: We say” and similar things, in the book of an outstanding scholar who is the Army Superintendent in his book “Preface to the Rules with an Explanation of Facilitation of Benefits”, and to show the method of its use in dealing with delicate issues, as it is based on the principle of assuming questions and answering them even if the question is not posed.

The thesis discussion committee was headed by Prof. Dr. Omar Ali Muhammad and the membership of Prof. Dr. Ayman Saud Miteb, and A.M.D. Adnan Juma Odeh.

The results of the dissertation made it clear that the fnaqla is a method based on the principle of protest and response, and the army superintendent uses it only to prove information in the mind of the reader, or to respond to a skeptic.

Moreover, this scholar followed in this method a scientific, rational, mathematical, and logical approach based on the reality of the language and the standards of linguists in interpreting every phenomenon.
