Today, Tuesday, August 27, 2024, the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Fallujah discussed the master’s thesis entitled “The Effectiveness of Monetary Policy in Achieving Economic Stability in Iraq after 2003.”

The thesis presented by the student Haneen Khidr Muhammad, under the supervision of Prof. Muhannad Khamis Abd sought to reveal the effectiveness of monetary policy through its tools in achieving economic stability, and to attempt to highlight the role of monetary policy in Iraq during the period of transition from a planned economy to a market economy, in addition to knowing the extent of the success of the measures taken by the monetary authority (the central bank) in Iraq.

The discussion committee was headed by Prof. Dr. Khaled Rokan Awad, and membership of A.M.D. Bilal Muhammad Asaad, and A.M.D. Ismail Hammadi Majbal.

The thesis reached a number of conclusions, most notably the results of the analytical aspect that demonstrated the validity of the hypothesis on which the research was built, which indicated the existence of an uncontrolled relationship between monetary policy tools and indicators of economic stability in the Iraqi economy during the period (2004-2022).
