University of Fallujah is a public Iraqi university that follows the regulations and guidelines set by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for centralized admission of high school graduates from the scientific, literary, industrial, and commercial branches.

General Admission Requirements:

To be admitted to universities, a student must:

  1. Be an Iraqi citizen.
  2. Hold an Iraqi high school diploma, officially certified by the General Directorate of Education in the respective province, or an equivalent certificate.
  3. Be born in 1995 or later.
  4. Pass the medical examination as per the specific requirements of each study program. Blind students who meet the eligibility criteria for humanities programs are admitted through the central admission process.
  5. Be fully dedicated to studies; combining work and morning study programs in colleges and institutes is not allowed. This applies to employees of all government institutions. Employees must obtain a study leave from their departments according to the regulations in effect. Dual enrollment in two study programs is also prohibited, and any violation will result in admission cancellation.
  6. Be one of the following:
    • A graduate of the current academic year.
    • A graduate of the previous academic year who was not admitted centrally to any college or institute. These students will be accepted based on the minimum admission thresholds of their graduation year.
  7. Non-Iraqi students who hold an Iraqi high school diploma and are admitted centrally will be notified in writing to visit the Central Admission Department / International Students Division at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to determine whether they are exempted from or required to pay tuition fees in foreign currency, according to the regulations in Chapter Seven.

General Principles of the Centralized Admission System:

Students are nominated for college and institute admissions based on the centralized admission system, which is electronically implemented according to the following principles:

  1. Admission is based on student preferences listed in the electronic application form available through the Ministry's Directorate of Studies, Planning, and Follow-up portal. Admission is competitive and determined by total grades.
  2. Students are required to submit the following choices in their electronic applications:
    • Scientific Branch (Biological & Applied): Must select 50 choices, with at least 10 being institutes.
    • Literary Branch: Must select at least 25 choices, up to 50 choices, with at least 10 being institutes.
  3. Submitting the admission form does not guarantee admission to the selected choices. Final admission depends on competition with other students based on applicable admission criteria.
  4. Admission to the College of Law is limited to students residing in the same province where the college is located. Students cannot apply to law colleges outside their province.
  5. Admission to engineering colleges must be specified by department in the electronic application form.
  6. Admission to medical colleges in provincial universities (Maysan, Muthanna, Wasit) is subject to a quota of at least 50% for students from the same province.
  7. For admission advantage:
    • 8% of foreign language grades will be added to the student’s total score.
    • First-round graduates receive an extra point in their total score (excluding students under the multiple attempts system).
  8. Differentiation subjects (priority subjects for tie-breaking in admissions) are only considered in case of competition for the last available seats in an admission plan.
