His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, honored A.M.D. Abdul Salam Yousef Obaid, Director of the Department of Construction and Projects at the Presidency of the University of Fallujah, with a certificate of appreciation. This recognition was for his efforts and good performance.
The honor took place during the Iraqi Engineer’s Day celebration, organized by the Department of Construction and Projects within the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Abbas Fadel, Director General of the Department of Construction and Projects, as well as numerous university presidents, deans of engineering colleges, and directors of construction and projects departments from various ministry formations.
In his speech at the ceremony, held at the University of Baghdad, His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education stressed the importance of continuously developing and modernizing the engineering education environment. He emphasized the need to keep pace with contemporary developments, support scientific research in engineering sectors, and meet the demands of the growing labor market.
His Excellency also acknowledged the vital role of engineers in meeting urban requirements, constructing infrastructure, and innovating technological, industrial, and technical solutions.
The ceremony included speeches from the Director General of the Department of Construction and Projects and the Engineers Syndicate. A film showcasing university projects was screened, and university presidents who are engineers were honored, along with directors of reconstruction departments in university institutions.
