A lecturer publishes a new book

A lecturer at the University of Fallujah publishes a new book entitled "Iraqi Kirkuk and the Conflict of Sub-Identities"

The Rafidain Center for Dialogue recently published a new book entitled "Iraqi Kirkuk and the Conflict of Sub-Identities", written by Assistant Professor Dr. Dhaham Muhammad Dhaham, a lecturer at the University of Fallujah and head of the Human Rights Department.

This book is part of a series of scientific publications issued by the lecturer, Assistant Professor Dr. Dhaham Muhammad Dhaham, as the book deals with the problem of identity and national conflict in the city of Kirkuk since the establishment of the Iraqi state until today.

The book consists of seven chapters that cover main axes starting with Kirkuk in the Iraqi memory, the birth of the modern state, its conditions during the republican era, a review of the forms of conflict of identities and interests, up to the American occupation in 2003, regional positions towards the city and its future, borders and powers.

The book presents future visions for the problem of conflict in the disputed city, most notably the formation of an independent administrative and political region within the framework of a unified Iraq, which achieves the aspirations of the city’s people and preserves Iraq’s political unity.
