A delegation from the University of Fallujah participated in the second training course organized by Al-Kafeel University in Najaf Governorate on implementing the Bologna educational path. This participation was in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The delegation from the University of Fallujah included Prof. Alaa Suleiman Nassar, official of the Planning and Studies Division, and Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Talab, official of the Student Affairs and Registration Division at the College of Applied Sciences.
The course aimed to familiarize participants with the Bologna Electronic Path (BIS) system, which includes the ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System), commonly used in European universities. The course consisted of theoretical and practical sessions on various aspects of the system, such as university administration, faculty management, student affairs, and test submissions.
During the course, the University of Fallujah delegation highlighted the challenges faced by the College of Applied Sciences, particularly in entering student grades and following up on cases. The delegation also presented potential proposals to address these issues.
The Bologna Process serves as a framework of reforms and agreements among European countries to enhance the quality of higher education, and this training course was an important step in aligning Iraq’s educational systems with international standards.
