Discussion of a doctoral thesis at the College of Management and Economics

Doctoral Thesis Discussion at the College of Administration and Economics

On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Fallujah discussed a doctoral thesis titled "Analysis of the Reality of the Elements of Total Injection and the Reflection of Its Impact on Some Indicators of Economic Stability in Iraq." The thesis, submitted by student Noman Munther Younis Fadel, aimed to analyze the components of total injection and assess their impact on key indicators of economic stability in Iraq.

The research focused on measuring and analyzing the relationship between the elements of total injection (such as government spending and oil exports) and economic stability in Iraq. The researcher employed the co-integration methodology (ARDL) to test the impact of these components on economic stability over the period from 2004 to 2021.

Key findings of the thesis include:

  • Government spending and oil exports occupy the largest share of the total export volume, influencing economic indicators.
  • There is a lack of discipline and variation in the relationship between total injection elements and economic stability.
  • The study found the absence of a long-term equilibrium relationship (co-integration) between these elements and economic stability, contrary to the assumptions made by economic theory, which posits that such a relationship should exist.

The discussion offered valuable insights into the dynamics of Iraq's economic structure and its challenges in achieving stability through its economic components.
