University of Fallujah Hosts Workshop on Breast Cancer Awareness
On Sunday, October 29, 2023, under the patronage of University President Professor Dr. Sabah Ibrahim Hammadi, the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the College of Islamic Sciences organized a scientific workshop titled “Breast Cancer and the Importance of Early Detection”, in line with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The workshop was moderated by Prof. Wafa Enad Abboud and featured a lecture by A.M.D. Hoda Hamid Al-Janabi. It was attended by female faculty, administrative staff, and students. The session focused on:
- The importance of early detection of breast cancer.
- Types of breast tumors and their causes.
- Methods for identifying and diagnosing tumors, using both simple and specialized techniques.
The workshop emphasized the importance of periodic examinations, especially for women over 40, and the need for specialized medical consultation if any abnormality is detected.
This initiative reflects the University’s commitment to raising awareness on women’s health and promoting the quality of life within society.
